What drives WindStars?

Which selection criteria are essential?
We call it operational excellence! We pay particular attention to qualifications and work experience that are important for the job. A good knowledge of English is also required for all positions. Other foreign languages can be helpful. Young talented individuals are given the opportunity to take on responsibility quickly and to create their dream job themselves as their experience grows.
Which academic disciplines are particularly relevant?
We are looking for natural scientists, business experts and above all people who have experience in both areas. The exact requirements may vary depending on the job profile.
How can I apply?
Please send us your application documents via our job's portal. There you can upload your cover letter, CV and certificates quickly and easily. Your data is then stored in our applicant management system and is available for us to view. Your data will be used exclusively for your application and will be deleted after six months in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
Can I also send an on spec application?
If you do not find a suitable vacancy on our job exchange, we would be pleased to receive an on spec application (please send all documents in one PDF). Contact via e-mail.
What happens after my application is sent?
You will receive a confirmation of receipt from us after your application has been sent. As soon as the personnel and specialist departments have made a decision, we will contact you by telephone or e-mail to arrange an appointment to get to know you.
What documents should I include with my application?
In addition to a cover letter in which you briefly explain your motivation for applying, we ask you to send a complete CV and certificates. Depending on the position, references may also be relevant. In the case of an on spec application, the letter of motivation can be somewhat more detailed.
What happens after the interview?
As a rule, at the end of the first interview we agree on a period of time for feedback from our side. During this time, you will either receive an invitation to a second interview (by telephone or e-mail) or a rejection. For selected positions, you will have the opportunity to get to know other colleagues in a second interview.
I have received a rejection: does this only apply to the specific position?
A rejection usually only refers to the specific position for which you have applied. You are welcome to apply again at any time if there is another vacancy that matches your qualifications. However, always make sure that you write a separate cover letter for each application, clearly stating your motivation to apply for exactly this position.
Are jobs published in the job portal still available?
Yes. If a position is visible on our website or on job portals, then it has not yet been filled. Unfortunately, external job portals can experience delays.
Why does WindStar only accept online applications?
We can process your application much faster if it is available to us in digital form. Online applications also have advantages for you: You do not need an application folder and do not have to pay any postage.
Are there any specifications regarding the size of file attachments in the online application?
You can upload up to five files, which must not exceed the maximum cumulative limit of 20 MB. Please send only PDF documents.
